In the past, decorative concrete was usually limited to a mason imprinting an object into the wet cement or hand scoring the concrete to look like flagstone. Today, the leading edge of decorate concrete is stamping. This process involves pressing three dimensional stamps into the wet concrete. Special stamping tools are used to complete the process. Stamping is done on either freshly poured concrete or on a thin coat of a polymer enhanced, fiber reinforced layer of 3/8" thick cement. When the stamping is complete, we detail and antique the concrete so that it looks like natural stone. We then seal the concrete with xylene based sealer, which highlights the colors, providing greater stain and weather resistance. We apply two coats of sealer and in the final seal coat, on outdoor applications, we add a non-skid agent, to make the surface more slip resistant
